I think this is the info you need.  Take a look and let me know what you find.

Screen shots for this phone used to be holding the power button.  Then a menu popped up with option for screen shot.

I have not done anything with developer mode.  I was having so many issues that I do a factory reset with a new Gmail account.

Hi.

I was missing the point on the screenshot shortcut. I rarely used it so I forgot about it. It was removed by Google as part of the Android 11 revamp of the Power menu. There are three other ways to take screenshots, so those will have to do without some juggling. (I did find this article with a way to get it back, but it's not super-simple or free.) You can still: hold volume down+power key; use the three-finger method enabled via the Moto app; use the new screenshot option in the open apps view.

I looked at your check-in data. There are quite a high number of app crashes. I'd suggest you test in Safe Mode to see if this is an app issue? To go into Safe Mode, press the physical power key, then press and hold the pop-up "Power off" key until the Safe Mode instructions pop up. This will allow your phone to run without any 3rd party apps. Can you do this and check to see how your fonts look in Safe Mode?

Please let me know, thanks.

The font is still the same in safe mode.  It looks like it's part of what they updated.

The apps and battery life are better after I rolled back to factory settings.  I also created a new Gmail account because Gmail was replicating my contacts with each new phone.  Many contacts had 10 or more entries.

It looks like high-contrast text is accidentally turned on.   Settings : Accessibility>High contrast text  (at the bottom under "Experimental")

Ah, great catch.

Almost all of this can be explained by High Contrast + Large Font + Large Display + Dark Mode. However, there is still that weird serif font for the words "Preview" and "Display Size" that I can't account for.

Glad to hear most of the issues are subsiding. Let me ask about this font thing.

Regards,

Ah, I think I got it.

This is a change in the Style app. You should be able to access it via a long-press on the home screen. You can adjust some fonts there, if you don't want that serif font pictured in your screenshot.

Glad to figure this out! :)
