Need Help With My New Motorola Edge

I bought a new Motorola Edge three days ago. It has been stuck on a Background System Installation at 87% for the entire three days - Step 4 of 6. I have restarted several times and still cannot get this installed at 100%. I'm really frustrated. I can't use the apps because the system installation restarts I guess, or the phone just goes to the dark screen, and I can't do anything until it goes back to the green screen and I unlock it again. Please help!

This is very strange. Do you have an active internet connection on your phone? I've never seen any phone get stuck like that for this long. Are you able to get into the settings on the phone?

Yes, we have extremely fast internet. My husband also builds and repairs computers and he too, has not seen anything like this before. It is very frustrating.
