Screen issue

2020-05-30, 15:24 PM

My very new Edge Plus has just started having these purple spots creep onto the screen if it's on for a long period of time like if I'm watching a video or playing a game.  The attached pictures are at different brightness levels.  They eventually go away after the screen is off for a bit, but then they come back once it's been on for a while.  Any ideas?  Has this been reported before?

I have the EXACT problem. The shakes and slots are multiplying and growing. They are certainly not going to go away on their own. This is a serious they to the Edge.

Moto x pure/style had same problem. Required new screen. Retaining screws were too tight if I remember correctly.

Hi.

We're on this. I urge you to hang tight -- I anticipate a quick response.

Thanks for reporting,

The screen bleed points are equidistant to each other suggesting a pressure point.

It's not a problem for me anymore, not because it was fixed though.  It got significantly worse as well in the day since I posted initially.  I was in the verizon store for something else and when I showed them the phone they gave me a new one on the spot.  Hopefully this isn't a common problem or my replacement edge plus may suffer the same fate.  It also seems to be something others are struggling with too so I'll be curious what the fix is. It's a shame because I LOVE this phone.

Hi.

Thanks for letting me know. I believe this is going to be addressed shortly. You're correct that it may come back on your new device, but once the fix is provided all devices should be fine.

Regards,

I have the same issue only higher up on my screen.  It has gotten progressively worse.  Did Verizon offer a reason as to why this happens and how is your new phone?

But is there a fix in the works?   Or do I need to get a new phone?  I have the same issue happening on my less then one month old phone.

Hi.

Yes, there is a fix in the works. I would not get a new phone as it's likely to happen on that one too. Very sorry you are having this problem and I hope you can hold out a bit until we can correct.

Regards,
