I'm having the same screen issues on my Edge 5G that are being described here, and understand that I need a replacement unit that has had this issue corrected. My warranty runs through Oct, 2021. I would like to have the replacement cross-shipped so I can transfer from my current (defective) phone, before shipping it back. I know you offer this "cross-ship" service for a fee, but I don't believe I should have to pay that fee for a systemic manufacturing defect. How can we make this happen?

It sounds like you may have replied on the email notification that you received about the private message.  If you reply from the private messages here in the forums it should go through.  Otherwise you can send an email to supportforums@motorola.com, please make sure the you note this is an email for MotoBecky so that it gets routed to me.

Hello @MotoBecky , I had just purchased my device from my carrier (Fido) and in my notes I mentioned to them the screen issue and linked them to this forum post and they still sent me a model that had the Green Screen issue.

Hey guys,

 

Any update on what exactly is going on with the screen?

 

Is it the screen? Motherboard? Connection cable?

 

I'm confident I'm out of my warranty period and so if I'm going to pay someone out-of-pocket to fix something, I need to know that I'm not just flushing money away.

 

Given how my smudging (are we still keeping that from the earlier posts? It's more like ghost images on mine) looks, I have something between an observation and a theory if it'll help you, but I don't foresee that assisting me in the here and now.

Hi Matt & Becky

After the last phone that you guys sent me I think I finally got one that worked, but unfortunately I dropped it & cracked the screen. Thankfully, it was insured, but the replacement that assurion sent me right away had the green screen & I can tell from the imei # that it's one of the older ones. I think that if I contact assurion that they're just going to keep sending me defective devices & I was hoping I could get help with it here. I'm including some pictures & I've updated my account with this current phones imei. Thanks
