VoLTE hungary

2020-06-12, 19:10 PM

I am missing the whole VoLTE option toggles from settings.

Is there any way to make the phone get support for VODAFONE HUNGARY?

I also cannot enable the toggle fro the "hidden" settings.

It is greyed out.

So i am assuming that the phone needs verification for the network?

If so, can i help?

If not, what can i do to make it work?

I had a lengty talk with tech support from Vodafone Hungary, and they said that Motorola Edge+ is not yet supported for VoLTE on their network.

And that is why i am missing the feature.

I do hope you guys can start the certification process for it.

The requirement are sooo easy to met, just be a phone of 2018 or later.

If you need help, or more information do not hesitate to contact me.

@MattForumsMngr

Can you guys do the certification for Vodafone Hungary aswell?

Mostly VoLTE, but VoWifi would be a nice touch aswell.

@MattForumsMngr  Any news yet? The normal edge works in romania with vodafone. They have volte ther,i i think with latest update. And vodafone kinda use the same network here aswell.

The requirements to get volte are the same in both country, even the officially supported phone list is similar.

Re:VoLTE hungary

So, Android 11 is here, and on my Vodafone HU simcard, i have yet to see this phone use VoLTE with it.

The good news is, at least now i have the VoLTE provison flag on, but it is grayed out. So it is progress.

Now i am just probably missing the carrier profile for it, as it is not registering the device.

I also have no option in settings anywhere, so i obviously i cannot do anything with it, or change it. (STILL NOT ROOTING IT, but sooooo want to)

That option will only shows up, if you guys are enabling it.

The fun part is, what you guys either did not get in my mails, or did not care is this:

It works with ANY OTHER Vodafone SIM. It only fails to work with Vodafone HU SIMCARD, mine, and yet it is the same network.

As the document i provided to the moto support, any Vodafone carrier profile will do, as the only requirement to make the VoLTE work here is to have the Vodafone firmware on the phone. (and with that i assume they meant the carrier profile in the EFS partition, but the senior thechniacian should know this better than me)

Now Obviously i am not a senior technician, but i also do not need to be one, to see that, i am ignored.

I also had a rooted ASUS ROG PHONE 2, now dropped dead, non VoLTE at that time, but with adding the VoLTE profile of Vodafone NL from that of a Xiaomi MI 9T it did work.

I followed the guide on XDA DEV.

By adding i mean adding a working VoLTE "mcfg_sw.mbn" from the vodafone volte editions, and then copy to my carriers spot.

So what are my chances now @MattForumsMngr ?
