Hi Droidmike1337

Thank you for asking. While we never share timing information, yes, Moto One 5G Ace is expected to receive Android 11, pending partner approval, if that's required. Please visit our software upgrade page here.

Best regards,
Rich

I am also wondering on this. I have used the website to check and it says that my phone shipped with Android 11, but my About Phone screen says that I have Android 10. I am looking at it by selecting Comcast, since Xfinity Mobile is actually Comcast.

Why is there a discrepancy in information? I have been wondering about the upgrade, which is why I looked while scanning for information on  if there was an OEM sound recorder or if I had to look for one of my own choosing. (Found that information, though!) So any info on the upgrade discrepancy would be greatly appreciated.

I would have preferred Motorola to skip Android 11 and waited a few months longer for them to release android 12 instead.   I know this has been posted to death already in various places and reviews but the ace should have come with 11 at launch, Ace owners only get one android os update and 12 is what they deserve for a $400 phone.

Hello and thanks for posting. I can assure you the phone shipped with Android Q/10 on it. It looks like we had a typo on the website. As for the update, we're working as quickly as possible to get Android 11 out to eligible devices as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

Tom

Yes, that is currently the plan to upgrade the 5G Ace to Android 11 pending partner approvals (if required).

Thanks,

Tom

As I mentioned yesterday, the phone is currently planned to get Android 11 pending partner approvals. I don't have the timing on when that will be, but I can confirm that it's currently planned to get the update.

Thanks,

Tom
