I don't know why you say the Hyper won't receive Android 11, because it's not true.

It'll probably take a year from now, but it will get it.

The One Hyper will almost certainly receive Android 11, although I rather expect that it will take a while.

Personally, I'm far more concerned with the issuance of timely monthly security updates, not to mention the question of whether the phone will continue working on the T-Mobile network after January of next year.

Frank.

I agree with Frank, the biggest concern is related to the Voice Over LTE capabilities of the firmware Moto Dev guys will put together for this phone.

I'm in EU and 3G will be decommissioned very soon here as well. I have asked Moto/Lenovo on various platforms (here also), what are their plan to enable VOLTE for EU Carriers but nothing happened since HALF YEAR.

This is very concerning and from my point of view Lenovo misled their customers as the phone was advertisied as VOLTE capable.

I don't care about Android 11, especially because newer OS on older phones are always slower. Security Patch support is much more important from my perspective but only in case VOLTE is activated for my Carrier at firmware level. If not this phone can be thrown to the garbage.

After some searching I found that the 3G networks for voice calls won't be shut down in Hungary for many more years (probably not until 2025). Only the 3G internet will be shut down earlier.

So you'll be safe with the Hyper for at least another 4-5 years from now.

Ok, let's assume you are right from HU perspective. I can make calls on 3G till xyz, However, I bought a VOLTE capable phone, Lenovo.nl told prior buying this phone that VOLTE will work on my carrier, but it doesn't work. Telenor is saying me they are happy to welcome Moto firmware update. Noname chinese phones have VOLTE activated under this carrier nowadays so I assume such update does not require huge effort. That is quiet funny. Not sure why you are protecting this trade mark. My first Motorola phone was an Atrix2, I own Moto X and also a Moto G7 Plus. I feel myself robbed. Should I be the a customer that should be happy with One Hyper? I was told VOLTE will work and it doesn't and didn't receive any acknowledgable answer from Lenovo.

P.s.:I Sent back the phone for warranty reason (WiFi drops). I'm as a Moto fan, I'm really unsatisfied what product I bought.
