Re: Battery drain in Motorola one power

2019-03-14, 6:44 AM

HI..

Thanks for assist.

I don't charge my phone daily. I keep using my phone until batter drained to 15%-30%, then I full charge my Moto One Power.

But to be honest earlier after full charge, end of the 20-24 hours my battery still at minimum 70% of charge, but now days it lasts 50%.

This is bit disappointing.

Yes, sure you can take a look, suggest me if something is wrong.

Thank you.

Re: Moto One Power issues post upgrade to Andriod PIE (v 9.0) from Android OREO (v 8.1) post here

I've just turned on my fully charged phone and the battery info says it should last until 2.45 that's just 5 hours. On a side note is there any way to hide the grey home/app strip (don't know what it's called)

Hi.

What phone are you posting about? Do you have the IMEI for that phone in your forums profile?

Re: Battery drain in Motorola one power

Hello,

I have been facing battery draining issue from past 1 week. I have purchased this Moto one power last year December. I would to highlight certain problem which i am facing:-

1. Charged fully 100%, but when go to settings>battery it shows i need to turn on power saving mode.

2. 1% battery drain every 5-10min of normal use i.e. texting or surfing

3. Previously the battery would last 2 days but it gives max 1 day with normal use.

Although i love the Moto one power but the battery issue really annoying.

Does Factory reset will solve the problem???

Regards

Hi.

Thanks for having your serial number in your profile. I can see a lot of screen-on time on days when your battery life is a bit low. I'd like to do a bit deeper dive.

If it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if there are problems, let me know here.

Also, please be sure to charge to 100% every day. I personally think charging overnight is best, so you start the day with a full battery.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about that. The phone has barely been used and the projection is just goofy.

I can see a few things that would lead to lower battery life, but mostly it's really high usage. I can see you using some apps for multiple hours a day. The combination of app usage and screen time is going to take a toll on the battery. There are also a few app crashes, but not enough to be really concerning.

At the same time, I'm not seeing that you're consistently charging the battery fully every day. That will also make it harder to get through a day.

So, I'm not seeing anything jumping out to say that your battery isn't performing. I am going to ask an engineer to take a look too.

Thank you matt for your prompt response.

I shall wait for the response from the engineer. Even on somedays, i have notice that the phone has been kept idle overnight and next morning the battery just drained 1% or 2% without airplane mode does it sound normal.

Should i try factory reset or battery recalibration to solve the issue?

Anup

Hello Matt,

As you can see the battery charged 100% but still it's recommend to turn on battery power saver mode to be on.

Anup
