2019-06-04, 10:41 AM

Hi

I can't capture photo with my selfie stick. I am using a wired selfie stick. On pressing button on selfie stick Google Assistant is getting launched automatically. Image is not getting captured. Can you please help me on this?

Thanks in advance.

There is no universal selfie stick for android phones - if the stick is not wired to match whatever headphone jack signals the phone supports then you experience what you describe.

The only recommendations i have:

1. Try play store apps that claim to remap headphone button inputs

2. Get a different wired selfie-stick

3. Get a bluetooth selfie stick

4. have someone else take pictures

Are you using the default moto camera app or 3rd party cam apps.If you are using the default one then try changing the settings of Volume key function in camera settings to " shutter " and check .If using third part apps then look for similar options in the settings and try.

I totally agree with the recommendations above .Specially the 4th one wins. This would resolve the issue the user mentioned above.I should have thought of this instead of investing in selfie sticks .Well too late for me.Thanks mate.✌✌✌??Cheers

Thank you for your suggestion. I have already checked by changing the settings of Volume key function in camera settings to " shutter " but still not working.

Hi oneplususer,

Thanks for posting. May I know what's the make and model of your selfie stick? Have you tried testing this function using a headset by pressing the volume button up or down and see if it would capture?

Hi oneplususer,

Thanks for trying. It looks like the monopod that you're using is not utilizing the volume controls. I recommend testing another selfie stick, see and observe if you'll get the same behavior. Let us know. Thanks.
