Android11 - WiFi Calling not working

Hello.

Got an upgrade to A11. VoLTE and wifi conversations appeared. VoLTE works, the quality of the calls is better and the 'HD' icon appears with calls that use this technology.
WiFi Calling is worse. Orange Poland network. I have a wifi connection, but the person receiving the call tells me that he cannot hear anything. In return, I hear it very well. Connection set up via Wifi 5G on a 300mb link. For the test, I chose a connection to another cell with wifi Calling and left the phone next to the TV soundbar with a volume comparable to the conversation. I played a conversation with the TV on the loudspeaker. I picked up the call on the second phone and I hardly heard anything. You have to catch the words that reach the recipient in total silence. This is the effect as if the microphone is catching the voice from 10 meters and not the loudspeaker at the microphone. So the fault lies in the transmission from the MOV to the recipient. On the other hand, as I wrote, it is great, I can hear the recipient perfectly.
Can it be improved somehow ??

Please update your profile with your current phone, carrier, and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Dot::Android11 - WiFi Calling not working

Welcome back.

Today I did a rehearsal with wifi calling. Surprisingly, the option was on but not during the connection there was no information that it was established by wifi. After turning the cell off and on, the active wifi connection icon appeared. I made several connection attempts. They all went through wifi and somehow the two sides were perfect. So as of today the problem is solved for me.

Glad to know that it is solved Would suggest you check for a couple of days and if you find any issues with Wi-Fi calling I would like to ask for a bug report in order for us to investigate further. The bug report will collect information about your current device state. Below are the steps to capture a bug report.

 

1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap on Build number 7 times on the build number to go into the developer options mode]
2. After the above steps, Developer options will be enabled.
3. Go to Settings ->System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Enable Usb debugging > Toggle On
4. Enable Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
5. Enable Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Enable Wi-Fi Verbose Logging > Toggle On
6. Once the issue is reproduced, Go to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.
7. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
8. Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the BugReport on the forums in a reply or via a private message.
9. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.
