Re: Bootloop when Developer options are enabled

Hey everyone, today I found that the phone got a new system update. Has anyone tried triggering the bug after update yet? I don't want to risk to screw up my phone again.

Re: Bootloop when Developer options are enabled

Probably not fixed since we got notified three days ago that it's not fixed yet, and that update it most likely built 1-2 weeks ago at least.

Re: Bootloop when Developer options are enabled

Hello.

Also reached my bootloop, but I did not turn ADB in the programming settings.
1. I unlocked "developer Options"
2. turned off "hardware acceleration tethering"
3. I set "default USB Configuration" to transfer files.
4. I turned off all 3x "animation scale" to 0
5. The phone was not at this time neither powered nor USB to PC.

6. I do not attach the ADB option seeing here on the forum this error.

Then I left the settings and then I used the phone normally. After 2 minutes, the screen has turned off. From this point every typing PIN unlock the phone I had to reboot the phone and so on and on.
I had to make a hard reset from the recorvery level and set it up again. Fortunately I have a phone 4 days so a lot of data has not lost.

Maybe these tips will help you determine the bug.
I hope that quickly poradzicie because the phone also uses to write applications Android (for now uses old).

Greetings

As far as I know from this topic, it share two common settings;

1.It needs to have some kinds of security lock: PIN or both PIN and fingerprints.

2.In Developer mode, Default USB connection mode needs to change to file tranfers.

If you really urgently need to use the phone with these settings, you might have to return and exchange for something else. It has been a whole month already, and the engineers haven't figured it out yet.

Re: Bootloop when Developer options are enabled

Is there any solution for USB debugging to work properly ?? I do not want to turn on because it will be bootloop and it is required by Lenovo Smart Assistant in order to update because I already have old security packages from May.

Re: Bootloop when Developer options are enabled

Usb debug works fine. You'll only get problems if you set file transfer as default option in dev settings.

Hi.

Just a little update. It looks like we're making progress with this - sorry it's taken so long! As soon as I know more I will report back.

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!
