I can't connect/see Chromecast Ultra either.

Moto One Vision latest updates installed.

Chromecast reset and phone.  Chromecast still visible/usable from other devices.

Issue occurred today suddenly and no updates consciously installed in the last week either...

Surprising 😳. I just got rid of this issue without any OTA update and you have just got this issue.

I'm having this issue as well, have another phone same WiFi, and they work great. It's just my One Vision. They don't detect any connections either from the Home app (Google).

Are you sure Motorola is not connected to 5GHz Hotspot and Chromecast to 2,4GHz? This might be an issues as internally these may be two different local networks.

Try to force your Moto to use 2,4 GHz connection

 

P.S. Don't say devices connected to same network. Same device (hotspot, repeater etc) does not mean same local network

In my case both connected to the same band. Like I said before, other devises works just fine, it's just mine that can't discover all Chromecast, Speakers, and more.

 

But for your information, it doesn't matter  if you're connected to 2.4 or 5GHz band in same router, they will connect, because is the same network.

Dual band routers may assign same network name for 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz. but not every makes it as one lan network.

For me if I connected One Vision to 5Ghz I can't see Chromecast on 2,4 Ghz. Same network name for both bands. So I had to force 2,4 to Connect to Chromecast

In my case it is not about network bands, some applications like VLC video player detects and cast to Chromecast on the same smartphone whit no problems. It's just my moto one vision QSAS30.62-24-23, another models are working flawlessly
