EV compensation adjusts ISO and shutter speed to get the result you like, however, in manual mode you manually set these values, so there's no need for EV to work. That would be like overriding your own settings for the exposure you want.

You have to manually adjust iso/shutter speed to get the exposure you want.

But If you're in manual mode and have everything set to "auto", EV will work and adjust ISO and exposure time because you haven't set any values on your own.

Yes, that's another value to play with, but on mobile phones it usually has a fixed value. At least low and mid end phones.

I think the most of camera on mobile phone is fixed aperture... ( After I try to check )
because thier physical it have to fixed aperture.

the F 1.7 on One Vision , It's hard to use long time shutter which it has maximum 32sec, it's very long time.

because I will get over bright in picture. it's a pity.

Yes, for a 32 sec shot you'd probably need a pitch black environment without light pollution, like in the middle of the woods, taking an astro shot. And ofcourse a tripod or something to hold it steady as a rock :P

My opinion, it maybe better if the EV is a adjust gain of brightness by SW , Algorithm or Mathematics like as adjust exposure in image editor software.

It can let us to useful for 32sec long shutter time.
