Do we have a way to run streaming apps like Netflix in full screen? For example, I have attached 2 captures; one from YouTube and the other from Netflix. YouTube videos can be 'zoomed in' to show full screen content which actually takes into account the punch hole but content on Netflix has a black bar on top where the punch hole is.
This actually defeats the purpose of a tall screen with 21:9 aspect ratio, doesn't it?

This will on depend on the movies and if that movie supports 21:9.
YouTube you can 'zoom to fill' with a pinch gesture meaning you still cut some of the video off.
I'm sure these apps will support true 21:9 when it is more common etc.

Correct.
It is purely a support thing.

Amazon prime videos u can watch 21:9 ratio full screen, regarding Netflix yes the main purpose kills as black bar comes n purpose of punch hole doesn't come in use. It is problem of Netflix on Motorola don't know but need to be resolved.

Hello there,
Here's a screenshot from Amazon Prime. As you can see, the video is not using the complete screen and the video has been zoomed completely.
Am I missing something?Amazon Prime

Ok. Got it. No 21:9 videos to watch except YouTube movie trailers.
Can you tell whether 21:9 video that we shoot does final output file also save in 21:9 format.

I was looking at purchasing as it is sleek n handy. But current Moto z2 play owner even after giving promises that they will update to Android 9 Pie by March 2019 but wont now. Will they give timely Android Q&R updates for Vision ? N no 21:9 videos too see. So it normal phone with punch hole to show people n click some cinematic hd videos.
What is ur experience in using this phone in physical dynamics. Is it handy. ?
