Manual software update due to Bluetooth issues

2019-12-14, 10:31 AM

Hi,

I've recently got a Tesla and my One Vision will not connect with any stability and the Bluetooth app just keeps crashing. I've tried lots of different things from research on Moto and Tesla forums, still no dice. Other phones work fine with the car so it is likely the phone which I see has got known Bluetooth issues.

It would appear that there is a software update with a potential fix but my phone doesn't want to find it. I'm currently on PSAS29.160-50-3 and I want to upgrade to PSA29.160-55-7 which a thread on here says sorts the problem. I've found a source and downloaded the update but have no idea how to manually update the software as it's 1.67gig and loads of different files.

Question 1. Will this update be pushed to my phone sometime soon for an auto update, and if so when?

Question 2. If not, please can you help me with manually updating?

Thanks

1. Quite a few people are having problems with updates being triggered or not. The current workaround for that is to try to check for updates via WiFi and/or mobile connection. Yes, and/or is not a stupid logical mixup here, gotta try all the options. Refer here for more information.

2. If the above fails, I wonder if this would work for you?

Not to discourage you, but I've still experienced issues with bluetooth audio after the update to 160-55-7.
