Method using OFFICIAL LMSA Tool to update your one vision (retla XT1970-1) with all data lost.

2020-03-13, 15:14 PM

So, I am coming this thread(closed).

Matt has closed the topic so I can't add a reply.

I need to claim that I am not trying to modify the phone. All the tools and software are downloaded from the OFFICIAL LENOVO WEBSITE (NOT THIRD PARTY) and THERE IS NO SIGN TELLING ME THAT USING AN OFFICIAL LMSA TOOL WILL CAUSE ME LOOSE OF THE WARRANTY!!!!!

If you own a retla XT-1970-1 phone you can try this method to update your phone. I cannot guarantee that it will be success but it works for me. DURING MY TEST, THE OFFICIAL TOOL MAY DAMAGE YOUR PHONE AND CRASH YOUR SYSTEM. I lost all my data using the LMSA upgrade tools so it all depends on you whether to use LMSA and upgrade the phone.

  1. connect your phone to LMSA and click on Flash on the tabs.
  2. Click on upgrade, if there's a zip file that has a QSA30.xxx.xxx then you can flash Android 10 to your phone. (If your's shows PSA29.xxx.xxx that means Android 9.
  3. remember to backup all your data and click upgrade
  4. your system may be crashed after you are trying to update the sysyem using the OFFICIAL(not third party) LMSA.
  5. After your phone crashed, switch to rescue mode and boot your one vision to fastboot.
  6. the LMSA tools will automatically flash the system into your phone
  7. Your phone will be restarted and boot Android 10

As I said, I cannot guarantee that this method works but if you want to take the risk then you can try it.

So... Yesterday I received the update to Android 10 on LMSA app on my XT1970-02 Motorola one vision (openmx channel) and it happened as you say... The update installation failed and I had to use the recovery (rescue) option so the update could install properly... After you update your phone LMSA says: device not supported (or something like that)... So everyone on Latin America should get the update on this month (I hope) ... For those in the openmx channel, if you don't want to lose all your data wait a few more days... If it is abatible pon LMSA that should mean that it'll show as a notification on the phone very soon Matt DISCLAIMER: the update poped up on the LMSA, I didn't force it so do not close this thread!
