Motorola One Vision Randomly reboots

2019-08-20, 23:23 PM

I was using the phone and it rebooted itself while looking at the screen (not playing or scrolling).

This issue is repeating randomly even when phone is idle.

Hi.

Looking at your check-in data, I see one reboot on the 20th. How frequently are you seeing this, and do you remember (or can you note) the date/time of the incidents you have seen?

The one we see is an uncommon issue that should be fixed in an upcoming update.

Hi,

I've been experiencing the same issue. It seems that it has been occurring since the latest security patch (PSAS29-160-50-2) Are you still going to fix this in an upcomming update?

Regards

Even my phone is doing the same thing now. Updated security patch recently to version PSAS29.160-50-3 at November 1st.

Hi.

Security patches, as a rule, don't include bug fixes. (There are exceptions.)

We can take a look to see if your issues are the same as the original poster's. Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Need help updating your profile? See here. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Forum-Feedback/Complete-your-forums-profile/td-p/3339943

Thanks,

Try booting into safe mode by long pressing the 'turn off' button once the menu pops up after pressing power button, or holding volume down while the phone boots. I've had this issue few times, but seems like Facebook and few other apps were causing this on my phone while it was plugged into PC and checking logcat.
