NFC error

2019-06-15, 13:36 PM

Whenever I try to identify myself with my ID card there is an error Message in the AusweisApp2:

"Unfortunately, your device does not fulfill the technical requirements (Extended Length)"

How can I enable the "Extended Length" feature?

Hi.

Thanks, we will take a look and see if we can help.

I did notice that this app has poor reviews on the Play Store and that it fails for multiple devices, though I can't tell if this is the same error others have received.

It's the phone itself – since it works fine with Motorola One, I'll check it now with the Android 10 update and edit if it's fixed

Re: NFC error (aka Android 10 NFC extended length problems)

2020-02-16, 14:56 PM

The same problem with Andriod 10 like in the post Android P NFC extended length problems (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-X4/Android-P-NFC-extended-length-problems/m-p/4384177)

For me it seems to be the problem that Motorola (the smartphone manufacturer) forgot to adjust the correct value for

ISO_DEP_MAX_TRANSCEIVE

in the configuration files /vendor/etc/libnfc-nci.conf or /vendor/etc/libnfc-sec-vendor.conf.

The second file still has the default value

ISO_DEP_MAX_TRANSCEIVE=261

However, this would have to be larger than 500 so that a certificate can be transferred between the ID card and the NFC controller in one request in one go like the article Herausforderung Extended Length bei Smartphones ( https://www.ausweisapp.bund.de/fragen-und-antworten/haeufig-gestellte-fragen/#c2562 ) (sorry, only in german) or the article Extended-Length-Problem ( https://www.openecard.org/en/ecard-api-framework/extended-length-problem/ ) (available in english) it describe. I think the NFC controller of the Moto One Vision (with Android 10 Build Number QSA30.62-24) can transmit more than 500 bytes per request.

Hopefully Motorola will bring a config update there soon to solve the problem.

Re:NFC error

There is now another thread "NFC extended length not supported" https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/motorola-one-action/NFC-extended-length-not-supported/m-p/4650344 for Moto One Action. There seems to be the same problem there like for Moto One Vision.

Again ... hopefully Motorola will bring a config update there soon to solve the problem.

Guess I'm having a similar problem...

My One Vision stops while transfering the certificate to the phone, I had to go back to my XForce from 2016 in order to be able to read the NFC tag of my ID (from Spain)

Hello Lenovo,

NFC error related to "NFC extended lenght" is still not working. Please have a look at another thread to this issue at

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/motorola-one-action/NFC-extended-length-not-supported/m-p/4650344

When this issue will be fixed?
