Hi.

Can you please provide more details? Are you getting an error message, or are you unhappy with the results of using Night Vision? If the second, please post examples and provide some details about the circumstances of the photo.

Thanks.

I'm getting an error message.

Every time I take shot in night mod and try to watch the shot it shows "activity not found" error.

Hi.

This may sound odd, but can you please update your Google Files app? Let me know if it resolves it.

I have updated the files and google photos app but the issue still remains.

However I disabled the camera app and enabled it again so it was degraded to the older version in which the night vision works perfectly. But to use other features i have to compulsory update the app so I'm back to where I was, stuck with the night vision error.

Hmmm. Thanks.

Can you clear the app data on Files and on the Camera? If you still have the issue after that, would you be able to provide a bug report? It looks more complex than it is.

1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap on Build number 7 times on the build number to go into the developer options mode]
2. After the above steps Developer options will be enabled and will show in your Settings menu.
3. Go to Settings > Developer options > Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
4. Enable Settings > Developer options > Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
5. Once the issue is reproduced, Go to Settings > Developer options > Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.
6. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
7. Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and share the link to the Bug Report via an email to supportforums@motorola.com, and include a note referring to this post so we know what it refers to.
8. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.

Thanks,

Hi Outlier02,

Do you still need assistance with this? Please make sure the Camera app is up to date in the Play Store. Let us know if everything's working. Thanks.

Re:Night vision not woking

I have a similar problem with the camera. So when it is dark enough to suggest me the night vision my default camera is shooting like it is in night vision. But the main problem is most of the times it doesn't take a shot neither in both modes, it says hold still, taking a picture and nothing, no picture taken. It is so annoying because i have to open-close-open-close the app and trying to shoot something and hope it will take the shot. I aslo want my default camera to shoot normally not like night vision saying hold still and take the same photo if it does take it eventually. Is it some kind of software bug after update or should i return it? I have the phone for a week now and it made many updates from Android 9 to 10. Overall i am very pleased with the phone but this night shots are so annoying.

I'm also with Android 10 and no problem with the camera app. Clear the cash and the data of the app, or the worst scenario is to do a factory reset.

Does your default camera shoot normally or like the night mode in low light situations? I can make a video of my problems to show what i am talking about if necessary. Edit: My camera version is 7.2.71.20-hallasan, is this correct?
