No security update (OCTOBER) for Motorola One Vision in ARGENTINA

Hi,

 

the month of november has started and sill no security update for october 2019 in Argentina. Is something wrong with my phone or is it a general problem (the phone I bought in Germany retail but it is used in Argentina)? When can we expect the security update for october?

The same with a phone that was bought in Germany, but used in Ukraine, for example. :smileysad:

If you bought a Germany version phone you should not expect to receive software updates in Argentina, a whole different continent.

But I got the September update in Argentina, why not the october update? There needs to be a different reason!

Motorola is committed to implementing essential security patches. As new security issues emerge, we will evaluate them and update your phone as needed. 
 
We do not provide the release dates, you will be notified once it's there.

But my question is, why do I not not get the october security update if in many other parts of the world the Motorola One Vision users have it since a while already?!?! :smileysurprised:

 

Is it because in Argentina it hasn't been rolled out yet? Is it because of the argentinian provider I use right now? Is it because I bought my phone in Germany?

 

Could somebody from Motorola/Lenova answer these questions please?

Hi Matt (or somebody else from Motorola/Lenovo), I could only manually update to the october security update by using LMSA. But then again, I have NOT received the NOVEMBER update yet! Why??? The LMSA tool does not offer any november update neither? Why??? In another forum I have read that other users from Austria have the same problem (no automatic updates after the September update and LMSA does not offer november update). Please Matt, could you shed light into this serious problem?! The main reason I bought this Android One phone was the promise of monthly security updates and these are not working on my phone and obviously on some other Moto One Vision-phones neither.

Thanks John 2019,

since September I am facing exactly the same problem you have described above - ncluding your observations with the LMSA tool. I have allready tested with SIM Cards from different providers and did a factory reset. Nothing did help.

It would be really great if this could be resolved!
