Phone screen not locking while incoming calls

2019-07-08, 12:38 PM

Hi..

While an incoming call, if we press power button to lock the screen, the screen won't get locked.

It will still shows incoming call on our screen which causes the call to be attended or cancelled by pressing in our pocket.

Re: Phone screen not locking while incoming calls

Hi again.

We have figured out a way to correct this. It is some kind of odd bug that results when the dialer configurations from a previous Android phone are ported over to the moto one vision.

I was able to fix mine by doing a Factory Data Reset, electing not to restore any of the previous apps, etc. The reset changed the dialer version and now the screen stays off in the conditions you described. It works like all my other phones now.

A Factory Data Reset is not the pain in the neck it used to be. Just be sure you have backed up/synced all your photos, etc. Once you do the reset as described above, you can simply do another reset and this time you can restore your apps, etc. The new dialer will remain in place and it's minimal work to get the rest set up (fingerprints, etc.).

Sorry for this issue - hope this helps.

I have gone through all the hassle of factory data reset today and it didnt help at all. Now I have one more problem because after reset Im not able to install Google ARCore and Goole lens. Play store gives me error DF-DFERH-01 and none of the methods suggested by google to solve this error works. :-(
