Screen mirroring looks horrible.

2020-10-24, 17:14 PM

I'm using the screen mirroring feature of the Motorola One Vision through Chromecast and it looks very bad. Very low resolution image on my TV, the text and icons appears with lots of spikes. It seems that the image is resized previosly to send to the Chromecast in low resolution.

With my previous phone, Motorola Moto G3, the mirrored image on the TV was perfect.

Hi,

Sorry to know about this and thanks for letting us know. May I know which Chromecast model/version are you using? We would like to duplicate it and check.

I will be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Suman

It's a second-generation Google Chromecast.

Hi

Very strange that you're seeing different performances between the phones. Can you take two photos of your tv when your casting? One of the G3 and one of the One Vision so we can see the difference.

Thanks

Sandip

These two photos are taken from a television with two mobiles doing screen mirroring through Chromecast.

The one that looks good is from a Nokia phone, the one that looks much more pixelated is from the Motorola One Vision.

The problem is much more accentuated when the image is vertically (horizontally it looks much better), it seems that the resolution rescaling is not done properly on the Motorola One Vision.

Hi Chonajero,

Thank you for sharing the pictures.

Can you please share the pictures without zoom or not too close to the Television. Looking at the second picture it appears that it was captured in close distance or zoomed.

Regards

Sandip
