Touch sensitivity issues on Motorola one vision

2019-08-10, 17:46 PM

I got the One vision this morning and excited by he premium looks only to be disappointed immediately after setup of the phone. Build# PSA29.137-17. Gone through the post with keyboard sensitivity issues- completely agree wether using screen protector or not.

While key board sensitivity issue is real concerning an frustrating - it doesn't end there, in my experience with device for 12 hours - I couldn't manage to get the words orrect more than couple of times - unless chosen to use predective - that's a relaxation but not a solution as you need to type few letters to do so.

Issues observed with touch sensitivity as below are with no after market acessories ( screen guard / glass,) and not while charging:

1- poor response across the screen.

2- frustating with key board , tried multiple key board options.

Note: To t ype in this it took more than 15 minutes for me who can type 75+ words per minute - even to move or point curser whole typing os a pain.

Hoping I didn't made wrong decision with love & trust in Moto- is  there any one confirm there is no hardware issue but could be a software glitch that can be corrected?

Good Morning,

We've had this discussion previously.

Only time I suffer these issues is when connected to charger and my phone's charging. (I'm on PSAS29.137-17-2.

Besides that, it's perfectly fine using so keep checking for a System Update as you may find one soon and it may help.

I see, that’s to extent good to hear. My devise response to Touch is very poor and keyboard response is almost hard to use. Just to make it simple - resistive Touch is way better. I stopped using this and even kids don’t want to play games due to hard touch response. This is only to make the problem to be clear and hoping the Moto team can help.

Good Morning,

I know it can be a pain, but have you tried a Factory Reset via settings?

Sometimes you can load it with a little issue and sometimes this can sort it out.

Good Morning,

No worries, I'm sure someone from the team will reply to the forum shortly.

For now I'll link you to someone who posted about keyboard sensitivity issue, this may have something in to help.

I'm due to get ready for work, so please update me if you get your issue resolved.

Sure, Thank you. I would try reset again with no Wi-fi and check as I don’t think we have the solution yet for the keypad touch issue too.

i am still on 137-17 not 137-17-2 yet.

Tried factory reset (with no SIM & connectivity),  no luck yet. Touch sensitivity issue continues for normal use having no screen protection—>>

I have got a Tech Visit scheduled in next 3 days ( not from Motorola/Lenovo but their partners I believe). HOpe they would recognise and accept the issue -as they represent the seller.

when solution isn’t available on forums - I can only cross fingers for the issue to be resolved by tech. I am not trying to get rid off  OneVision but to find a solution to the problem.

There’s “ slight”improvement to touch by disabling one touch nav on Moto actions app. But issue still exists and with keypad sensitivity is same as old.

Hope this is noticed by @MattForumsMngr
