Will Soon Be Migrating To A Motorola One Vision 128GB. Have a Few Questions.

2019-11-10, 14:45 PM

So, an opportunity has risen for me to get the One Vision (128GB model) for a very cheap price...I jumped on it!

Note: I currently already own an Android One phone from a different brand, but it has only 32GB internal storage.

However, I have a few questions...

1. How quick is Motorola at issuing software updates to their Android One phones? Are security patches released in a timely manner?

2. Can I do Astrophotography on the One Vision? (For example, capturing the Milky Way);

3. Do I have to register this device to the Motorola Feedback Network in order to participate in software soak tests?

Well, I'll jump straight to the answers:

1. It's okay, I'd say. Definitely not Google Pixel-fast but we are normally getting each month's update around the 3rd week.

2. To a certain point, but not as much as the dedicated mode some phones have been getting. If you have a very steady grip or use a tripod, with Night Sight you will be able to photograph a starry night.

3. I am not affiliated to Motorola to guarantee anything, but ever since I heard of Motorola software test programs it was something offered to people who enrolled into MFN. So I think the answer is yes.

This helped me too

Regarding the point 2. I can take starry night very easily with Night mode without tripod. You can do that with only hands

If you would like to get best results, I recommend tripod and play with manual mode
