When I checked the battery usage there were only 13% left. However summing up the usage shown that was around 50%.

And yes, my battery is draining unexpectedly fast. (I've only used the phone for a couple of days.)

Those figures doesn't fit together, or?

While it looks a bit odd, it's not unusual. There are many smaller percentages that are not shown.

Overall, battery life of 24 hours with that much screen-on time is quite good.

Hi matt,

tried all the ways you suggested
1. Calibrated the battery
2. removed the battery consuming app you suggested after checking my app
3. Made a bug report and sent it to you
4. updated my IMEI in profile.
These are the condition of battery now
With battery saver, battery drains to 35 % approx in 5-6 hrs
without battery saver, less than 50 % in 4 hrs

please provide us an update to increase the battery life. I have got an update previously for Lenovo K8 plus due to similar problem with its 4000Mah battery.
For a 3500 Mah battery, the battery draining is very high.

Hi.

We had a chance to look at the data -- thanks for all your cooperation.

It's our view that the battery life could be better, but that your particular situation is more use-driven than phone-driven. To take one day as an example, over a 9.5 hour period your phone was in essentially constant use for data-heavy activities, with the screen on the full time. This does fall outside of what we would consider normal use and is well into the range of heavy use.

Your days fall pretty neatly into two categories. One is "bad days" of about 12 hours of battery life, when your screen is on 8-10 hours and the phone is being used constantly for media, gaming, etc.  Then you have "good days" of about 20 hours of battery life, and your screen-on time is in the 5-6 hour range. Lately, the days seem mostly in the "bad" category.

There is an update coming shortly (please don't ask me "when?" because I never answer that question) that should improve things somewhat. We have other plans for updates to address battery life as well, farther in the future.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

- Matt

Re: motorola one vision battery backup

Thanks Matt, you may be right, but that would indicate other (serious) problems. I have added the bottom part of the screen shoot of the battery use to this comment.

There are two items not shown in the previous screenshot, Chrome (2%) and Phone Idle (1%).

It all sums up to 54%. Then there are 33% left to 87%.

Did background tasks use 33%? Or what is going on?

Re: motorola one vision battery backup

And screen usage was less than 5 hours - in my case.

Yes, and you are getting 24 hours of battery life as well. So that seems to be fine.

But back to your point -- let's look into it. I'm not sure why it's not closer to the expected percentage. Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Re: motorola one vision battery backup

Looks more like I get 10 hours today, please see the attached screenshot.

I have made that special reboot mentioned in this thread. And then charged the mobile for many hours.

I will add the info you requested.

Re: motorola one vision battery backup

Thanks Matt,

Hoping to get the update as soon as possible.

Regarding the screen on time, I had used 3500 mah battery phone before also. May be this time use might be more. But still an pretty sure that the battery backup provided by this phone is very less.

Anyway Let's see after the update.

Thank you for your support
