Android 10 - battery lock screen widget is gone

2020-09-16, 8:28 AM

So... as title says - circle is gone.  Probably the first thing I noticed missing.

Was looking for some option to enable it but can't find any. Anyone?

It's been changed. It has animated background now (can be turned off), different font, it shows the current weather, and it shows the battery on the top right side.

For the worse if you don't mind me saying that.

Previously I could see the percentage circle from afar, now I have to grab the phone or lean over it to read it.

Why not leave it configurable? I hate it when devs force their aesthetic vision on millions of users. Everyone is different.

I'll probably get used to it, but it'll be missed.

Swiping down notifications panel and clicking battery icon doesn't go to battery usage/ percentage screen. But nowhere.Icons are smaller. If you shrink the screen for one handed use you have to open notifications panel first to make it full again instead of a click on the empty part of the screen as before.

Not to mention clock widget that, following Android principles, probably, it's not configurable. And a little widget occupies the space of a large one.  It's awesome!

Long press on Battery Saver icon in the Quick Settings (scroll  down fully from top) should take you straight to battery usage.
Edit Quick Settings so the icon is easier to get to.
