Re: Initial Software Performance

Following a tip from Valalolo, I installed Nova Launcher and set it as my default system launcher. I've only experienced a single freeze since then. The overall system performance and battery life have improved.

The one freeze experienced was when I tried to call a contact from messages while turning on my bluetooth headset which hung the phone for about 30 seconds. Other than that, no issues.

I also have to clean the cash and data from Moto app launcher here and there as it seems that it is still working and figthing with Nova, or filling the memory, after I do that it works much better for a while. So I think there must be also another app causing this, but this is a big progress already.

This morning the One Zoom started freezing again, apps were not responding, but after I cleared the cash and data from Moto app launcher and force stopped it, the crashes stopped without any restart.

I am now waiting for the answer from Motorola about my CPU, why it is showing me 1.7 instead of 2 GHz, in case they find out it is ok I will install clean android with just Nova, and start adding apps one by one to find the real guilty one...

Hi Matt,

Do you have any news about the issue please? Any suggestion? Any opinion about CPU info shown by Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant tool?

What app is that? Cause if they lied about the max frequency, that's probably lawsuit worthy considering we can't exactly easily overclock a phone.

Balrighty it is an official Lenovo diagnostic tool.

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291

You can download it to your PC, allow USB debugging in phone, connect it and itz will install the same app into your phone where you can check the details. It would be very helpful for me if you could chech what data it shows you, because I am getting no answer from Matt or Motorola yet.a

I am just trying to figure out, whether it is my CPU which is wrong or broken, or whether it is an app that is showing wrong data. I am not even counting with an option that Motorola would lie. Could you please check the app and share the data it showes you?

Thank you!

Kind regards,

Valeria

I just hard resetted the phone, only thing I set is lights and sounds, not even the e-mail settings are in, just clear Android. And the phone froze already! System UI stopped responding. Is that normal?

So freezings and app crashes since yesterday - the reset are now like once or twice a day. Lets see how it continues.

Since I am receiving no answer from Matt nor from Motorola, can anyone help me and install the Lenovo diagnostic tool into the PC:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds101291

Connect Motorola One Zoom via USB and wait till the tool install the Mobile Assistant app, and tell me what CPU it shows you?

It is under CPU info:

I would like to compare whether this is down on more devices or only mine.

Thank you all!

I went to Qualcomm's website and looked up the specs on the SM6150 and confirmed that it is the Snapdragon 675 as advertised.

https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-675-mobile-platform

The chip is capable of clocking up to 2.0GHz, but that is not typical under regular use.
