So freezings and app crashes since yesterday - the reset are now like once or twice a day. Lets see how it continues.

Since I am receiving no answer from Matt nor from Motorola, can anyone help me and install the Lenovo diagnostic tool into the PC:

Connect Motorola One Zoom via USB and wait till the tool install the Mobile Assistant app, and tell me what CPU it shows you?

It is under CPU info:

I would like to compare whether this is down on more devices or only mine.

Thank you all!

Hi.

Sorry - took a few days to investigate this particular issue.

We've tested the tool extensively and it does not appear to be reliable as a measure of CPU. This has been reported to the tool team to address. So, bottom line, we have no reason to think this is the issue behind your particular problems.

Now some good news. Your freezing issues can't be reproduced in a software version currently in development. I don't have timing but we should expect to see this addressed. Appreciate all your help and cooperation - we couldn't have found this otherwise.

Regards,

- Matt

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

Is this software currently in development just a future security patch, or is it a reference to our future Android 10 upgrade?

I received and set up my Zoom on Monday. I like it so far and other than getting used to a bigger phone, coming from my X4 and Galaxy S10e, I have not had any issues until today when I got my first freeze. I restarted the phone so we will see if it happens again.

I restored from a backup when setting it up, but only my account info and calls and texts. I installed a few apps and one game seperately but might go back and do a clean install if it freezes again.

I too did a backup from my old phone when setting up and I haven't experienced any freezing issues.

My only issue is that occasionally my screen doesn't react to my fingers, but that could very well be my screen protector.

Balrighty after last update mine also looked like unresponsive screen but then I've read that is because Android has crash and ANR reports turned off, so a user can't see what really happened. Go to the developer options and turn the reports on.

Then you'll see whether it's just a screensaver or whether your phone is really freezing. Something like this:

So I had another brief freeze today and then later, I launched the My Radar app then went to home screen and then opened Messages and it would instantly switch back to My Radar. I tried opening Messages a few times and it would contunually switch to My Radar so I had to restart.

I want to like this phone but little things like this have not happened with my past Moto phones.

Hi, I'm going to claim for a repair. I think that there's a serious problem with my phone. I noticed that this is happening mostly when I'm accessing the file system. Mostly when I'm in the photos, documents, or when I'm using an app that has an access to a storage, it is freezing. The phone started resetting since yesterday. Once it restarted while lying on the table, now it restarted when I was browsing the photos. It's also freezing when I'm on USB copying pictures or files into/from the phone. So I don't think that freezes will stop after a new software, I think that my phone is damaged as it is getting worse.

Re: Initial Software Performance

I had another odd software issue with an app, SMS Backup & Restore, that I have been using for quite awhile on my Moto X4 and since I got my S10E. I have always had it set to do a backup every Saturday night at midnight and when I checked my phone the next morning this weekend, my battery was down to 28% even though I had changed it when I went to bed. I pulled up the Battery settings and that app showed something like 68% usage overnight.

I checked my Google Drive, where it backs up, and there were proably over 100 backups as it had just run over and over all night. i had to force stop it and went ahead and uninstalled it. Not sure why it had this issue on the Zoom as it was a fresh install of the app. Maybe Daylight Savings time tripped it up but it has never had the problem before.
