Moto One Zoom VOLTE and T-Mobile

Hey all,

I had purchased this phone (XT2010-1) seeing that it had LTE band 12, however it seems to be unable to activate volte on US T-Mobile network. Anyone have any insight as to if this function works or if it is planned for a future update?

Thanks!

Hi.

Your model does not support VoLTE. I'm not aware of plans to enable it either, but can share your feedback with the team.

Re: Moto One Zoom VOLTE and T-Mobile

When entering the phone settings, [removed] wifi calling and VOLTE options exist, they are just greyed out so you can't manually enabled them. From what I've read, the carrier, in my case T-Mobile needs to officially support the device in order to utilize those two features. Hopefully that will happen. The lack of wifi calling and VOLTE support are the phones biggest drawbacks.

Re: Moto One Zoom VOLTE and T-Mobile

I was just told by multiple agents that the Moto one zoom I purchased two weeks ago does support volte and Wi-Fi calling. Is this just blatantly not true? I would love to use this service on T-Mobile's Network and had been assured before purchasing the phone that if it was unlocked it would work great on their Network. It does work on the network but with no vo LTE or Wi-Fi calling. What is the work around here?

Hi.

Was it Moto or T-Mobile agents who told you that? You are correct that it does work on the network, but with no vo LTE or Wi-Fi calling.

Re: Moto One Zoom VOLTE and T-Mobile

It was a Motorola agent. In fact I just recorded a call to the same effect. The phone has volte and Wi-Fi calling capabilities is what I'm being told. I know it depends on the provider I'm using to support those, but what I'm getting from this thread is that the Moto one zoom doesn't even have those features to begin with. Is that right?

Re: Moto One Zoom VOLTE and T-Mobile

I'm having the same issue, it won't connect to T-Mobile 4G LTE network. I contacted Motorola, they replaced my device with a new one, same effect. I have been in contact with T-Mobile and Motorola, neither has said anything about volte. I'm confused because I verified with my other device it's bands 12 and 66, which the one zoom supports, or says it does. I am only able to connect to HSPA+ on band 4. It won't even connect to the tower near my home. Frustrating. Bought it as a Xmas present, so past the point of returns.
