Re: Motorola One Zoom - Android One or Android Enterprise Recomended?

2019-09-07, 15:43 PM

Yes, my 1st. gen X, X Play, Z Play, X4, Z2 Force all of them had 2 major os update.

"The Motorola One Zoom will launch on Android 9 Pie globally and receive at least one OS upgrade, as well as security updates on an industry-standard schedule,” a Motorola spokesperson told Digital Trends. “At this time, we are evaluating additional OS upgrades.”

So the one in motorola one now no longer means android one but only one update ?. Because evaluating in Moto talk means finding excuses to not release more updates or security patches.

And I know the name of the next one family device, the Moto one big mess. You can use it free of charge by the way I just like to help.

From what I've understood by some reading, the moto one zoom is an "Amazon version" of the.upcoming Moto one pro, and that the zoom is preloaded with amazon apps and not part of the Android one program whilst the moto one pro is in the Android one program.

I could be wrong though.

The leaks suggested that, but there is no One Pro. There is only One Zoom now

1. without Alexa integration which sold "everywhere" and there is an

2. Amazon exclusive version with Alexa.

No update in Finland :(

I did get a Moto Camera app update yesterday, that said it improved low light shooting on the One Zoom.

But system firmware / security level remains on the july 2019 version for now.

Re: Motorola One Zoom - Android One or Android Enterprise Recomended?

Hi, I consider buing this phone.

However support matters for me and I do not know how much I can expect.

In fact what "Android Enterprise Recomended" means in practice?

For models not suppoerted by AndroidOne should one expect security updates?

If so for how long, and with what frequency?

Hope some experienced moto users can answer that. Thanks in advance.

The former Android Enterprise Moto devices updatated regulary. Every 2nd month there is a security update whitch is not older than 90 days from the the actual Google's  security patch.
