Hi,

 

The System update screen shows 'Your device is up to date', though the installed version is PPH29.59-59 (Security patch level: 1 July 2019).

 

I know that there are a couple of newer versions. But the device does not offer to install them. What can I do?

 

 

Software channel is reteu

I am located in Germany

There is a real problem here if you're on a July update.

 

Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Hi Matt,

 

I just added the phone serial number to my profile.

However I did not find the Privacy Settings that you mentioned.

Feel free to look at any data that is useful to debug the issue.

Hi.

 

Thanks for posting that info. Is the phone brand-new? That could explain it - the phone may take some time before it checks in for updates.

 

I will also have someone look into this from our end.

Hi Matt,

 

the phone is fairly new. I got it yesterday morning.

Today (2pm) there is still no update available.

I checked this several times (Settings -> System -> Advanced -> System updates).

The phone display 'Checking for updates' for a few seconds, before stating that the phone is up to date. So it seems that it is checking something?

I had the same problem. My brand new Zoom was stuck in the September 2019 version. No matter how many times I tried to update, the search always concluded my phone was running the latest version.

Using the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant tool (you need a PC) did the trick for me. Now I am running the latest version with January 2020 security package.

Upgrading using the LSMA tool worked. I wonder if the next update will work over the air?
