Lenovo fan control problem Z580

2013-04-01, 10:20 AM

Hello,

Before I had reset my laptop to factory settings I used to be able to change my fan settings by pressing "fn + half moon button" (fn + F1). I used to get 4 options "Quiet, Normal, Cool and Dusting".

Now whenever I do that, the laptop just goes to sleep mode..

I also tried changing the settings using Power Management, but I only have the dusting option there.

Is there any way I can still access the options?

Hi
Fn+F1 is for sleeping the laptop only. Maybe their was a bug in the earlier version. You should have thermal touch sensitive button above the keyboard.
