Yesterday my son bought a Y700. It wouldn't connect to our wifi unless it was literally within 5' of the router.
We returned it to Best Buy today and exchanged it for a new one. The customer service rep said it was probably a bad wireless card.
We got the new one home and the same problem happens. It will start to connect, then lose the connection. Or not make any connection at all. Plus, there's a warning on the hardware scan, "Local Connection Test....warning."
I doubt it's a problem with our internet connection or router, because people use iPhones and other laptops in the house and don't have any problems wtih connections.
If there's not a simple solution, we're just gonna give up on the whole Lenovo laptop idea.
