Inside Screen Unresponsive, Completely Black & Beveled near Hinges

2020-11-21, 14:09 PM

I've had the Razr 5G for 6 weeks before the inside screen just completely went black and unresponsive.

Let me put a disclaimer out there that my phone has no water damage, has not been dropped and has a protective case.

One day I woke up with the following progressive issues within 3 hours:

  • Inside Screen Had Pink splotches near hinges
  • Next the notification bar and the inside screen became unresponsive
  • Then Inside Screen began flickering green
  • After that half of my inside screen was black the other half displayed my wallpaper
  • Finally the entire inside screen went completely black and is beveled

Anyone else have this issue?

Hi.

Sorry to see this. We haven't had similar reports other than from drops/impact. We recommend that you have your phone repaired. You can find your repair options on our site here, and they include an extensive carry-in repair network that in many cases can provide same-day service. You will find an interactive map that allows you to find a carry-in center convenient to you. We recommend contacting the repair center to ensure they are prepared for your specific issue. And of course, we always have mail-in service and some fix-it-yourself options.

Regards,

-Matt
