Blue Screen on R61

2008-04-03, 22:19 PM
Hi to everyone,

I have a new R61 from November '07 and I downgrade to XP. After two months, I start to receive a "blue screen" two, three times per week.

STOP 0x0000007F (0x000000008,0xF771FD70,0x00000000,0x00000000) - more often error number

STOP 0x00000001 (0x40010053,0x00000002,0x00000001,0xBAEA99CF)

I upgrade the newest driver for everything, disable power regulation in BIOS, testing with PC doctor, a new antivirus SW, brute RAM testing and.. I forget what I do to find where is a problem. Until now, I don't know what is a reason for that "blue screen".

Have you idea what I may to do, to solve this very nasty problem.

If you are downgrading from Vista you need to have all the XP drivers if you can't find them my best advice would be to put Vista back on your computer

XP is based on Windows 2000 try checking http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa126132.aspx for what your STOP messages might mean

Thank you tpinkfloyd for idea.

On the end, I find that drivers for Intel ICH8 PCI Express Root Port 1,2...5 in System devices are too old (from 2001 or 2002).With usng DriverAgent.com I download and install latest driver (from 2007).

I hope that will be ok - I must test a few weeks.

Strange is that Think Vantage don't find that difference in systems drivers

Regards.

No problem glad I could help a bit but if you need more help here is a better idea I didn't think to tell you last night

There is a program called Driver Genius it is $29.95 but well worth the money when you are trying to find drivers cause it does everything for you all you have to do is sit back and let it do the work for you. I trust it a lot more than Driver Agent.

Here is the link

I have Driver Genius Professional and using that a few times on another PC's .It was important, that I get information that some of my drivers is old. When I  find which driver is old , I start to analyse concrete drivers and find new drivers and install it.
I trust only drivers from company original sites. It strange why Think  Vantage don't find that some of drivers on machine needs upgrade...
I hope that is my problems gone , but I will wait a some time and send info.
