Formatted SSD-Y510P

2013-12-19, 23:19 PM

I accidentally formatted the 24 GB SSD that came in my Y510P with Windows 8. The drive is now empty (before it had some mcaffee files and a folder labelled drivers). Now, when I check to see if the drive is functioning as a cache drive (with ExpressCache/Intel Rapid Store Technology) it is not. I want it to function exactly as it did when I took it out the box. I've tried the OKR and all it does is put all of the bloatware back on and erase the programs I installed since purchasing. The SSD still does not function. Lenovo support told me because the SSD was formatted they must completely rebuild the and that I need to purchase the recovery discs. Just wondering why I have to buy something to reset my computer to the factory settings? or how to do so myself.
