TPT2 - No Flash since upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1

2014-08-02, 22:30 PM

I recently bought a new Thankpad Tablet 2 and after the full day upgrade process, I discovered that the Rear Camera Flash no longer operates under any light level. In addition the Camera app, no longer offers a variety of resolutions in 8.1 that was available in Win8.

I would appreciate any guidance.

Thank you.

Hey, I just did a clean install of Windows 8.1 pro. To get the flash, you need to install the "Lenovo Setting" app from the app store. You should install "Lenovo Settings Dependency Package" from the driver download page before install the windows app.

I also have a question related to the camera... I don't have the "spot adjust" option in the camera app. Do you?

Thank you for replying.

You were correct, I did an update to the Lenovo Settings Dependency Package, and now my flash will activate in low light conditions.

Using the default camera app, I have no options to change the flash operation from auto. In fact the camera app lacks even the most rudimentary controls.

Whereas I am very pleased with almost every aspect of the TPT2, the camara is the one feature that Lenovo has IMHO dropped the ball.
