Lenovo Y50-70 - i7, 16GB, 256GB SSD, GTX 860M 4GB

Got a problem with the screen blinking or sometime just half of the screen goes black for a split second, or even just shaking. Most noticeable when I'm watching movies or just on youtube but still blinks sometimes when I'm just on the desktop.
any1 had this type of problem Is there a fix


I am using windows 8

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.


As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with the display in your Lenovo Y50-70 laptop.


As you have mentioned the display blinking, please check if this happens if the LCD of the laptop is moved.

Check in BIOS for the issue, also check in safe mode if the issue persists. Also connect the external monitor and check for the issue.


Also update the display driver to the latest version. Click here for the drivers if the OS is 64 bit.


After the drivers update, if the issue still persist then it might be issue with the LCD or LCD cable.

Call Tech Support, you will need a hardware repair. They will need to replace the LVDS cable and the display panel itself.
