Does anybody know the difference between the FRU 04Y1408 and FRU 04Y1946 Motherboards for thinkpad T430?

As per the query we understood that you are looking for replacement of System board for your ThinkPad T430.

 

I am sorry to inform you that the FRU part number which you have provided is not showing the FRU list, you can check with the FRU link for ThinkPad T430.

 

I request you to provide the system MTM (Machine Type Model) number so that we can provide complete details on that.

my notes are not great on the t430. There are lots of part numbers, but I think the 2 you list are both T430 NVidia-based boards, so unless you need TPM and/or AMT, either should work. (no guarantee) 04Y1408 has both and I don't know about the other board.
