No Hibernation Status Bar

2009-12-11, 8:55 AM

With Windows XP, when I went into hibernation mode, a progress bar would appear on the screen after the operating system that had the windows logo above it.  When the bar filled up, the computer would shut down.  I notice with Windows 7, there is no screen like this; rather, the screen will simply go black and after a minute or so, the computer will shut down.  I don't think this would qualify as a technical problem since the computer is hibernating fine but rather a cosmetic one.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 on a new T500.

Thanks.
