Failed Transactions, Charged Four Times!

2015-02-17, 15:15 PM
Hello, I tried to purchase the LenovoY50 from your website using my father's Saudi Arabian VISA card. I live in the US and had no idea you did not accept international cards. During the transaction I kept getting a message saying the transaction failed so I tried reentering my information a couple of times to tye same reply. My father contacted his bank and they say it was charged 4 times and that the transaction can only be canceled and refunded from Lenovo's end. I wasn't given an order number, I tried calling the customer service numbers provided but it said the center is closed in observance of Holidays. President's Day was yesterday so I'm not sure what's wrong? I need the money refunded asap, we did not account for it being charged 4x. I've seen many threads about this on here but no one ever replied with wether or not it worked out for them.

Pantalaimon,

I've noted this thread to a member of the sales team and hope they can provide a bit of additional assistance.

Lenovo has not actually charged the card or taken the money.  Each time a transaction is attempted, a charge hold is placed through the issuing bank to ensure available balance to complete the transactions.  These can show up as charges depending on how your bank reports them online.   They should drop off after a few days.

Lenovo can cancel the transaction (sounds like it already has) but has no way to make your bank clear the charge holds any faster.
