hi Fiction,

For Google Chrome, can you try and follow this guide on how to disable mobile emulation.

If that doesn't work, try these steps:

As for Opera, if you're using the Opera browser and not the Opera mobile emulator, try these steps:

That's weird. Did this happen after a fresh installation of Chrome / Opera or you can normally visit websites before and one day this problem appeared?

In addition, If you use the built-in Internet Explorer, are you able to visit a website normally?

Well more like day one of using the laptop but now its really getting anoying because more and more sites get mobile version. Before I didnt mind 2-3 website showing as mobile.

I think it is because of the touch display?

hi there,

I don't think it's because of the touchscreen feature but you can disable them to check:

To disable the Touchscreen, open Device ManagerHuman Interface Devices then right click and disable on anything that says HID-compliant device (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen).

As for using the built-in Internet Explorer, we're you able to visit sites normally if this is your browser? If yes, I recommend you uninstall Chrome and perform a clean installation (same goes to Opera).

 - Google Chrome Browser

I do experience this in the past and occasionally. Whether you use IE or chrome or other browser the site will display the mobile version. It may have something to do with the site you're accessing which will interpret that you're using a portable device. What I usually do is close the site webpage and shut down the bowser. Erase the temporary internet files and access again. It is not foolproof but it helps although not all the time.

Unfortunately erasing temp files and disabling touch screen does not help.

Also IE, chorme and opera all show mobile versions.

Maybe reinstall windows :D

I don't think the problem is on your end. But you can try Refreshing or Resetting Windows just to satisfy your curiousity.
