Remove UI skin?

2011-09-28, 22:50 PM

Just got my ThinkPad Tablet today. So far its great but the one thing I would like to change (if possible) is the custom UI skin. I'd like to just remove it and use the stock Android 3.1 menu buttons instead of the white icons that look out of place and don't flow with the rest of the aesthetic. Has anyone done this or know if its even possible?

Do you mean the Launcher, or something else?

I would also like the original skins back, or at least something that fits in with the clock and the rest of the Android UI.

I think it is closely related to the possibility of rooting the TPT...

I don't think Lenovo cares :smileysad: They spend their time doing what they want, not what their customers want.

Also would like the choice of original over Lenovo. Make Lenovo default, but please give us the choice. The white really doesn't seem to work well.

Trust me. This isn't a priority for them.

No doubt, but then creating those elements take time... If enough people say leave them default, they might opt for the time saving approach.

You just never know :)

Nearly everyone since August has said that, but they have no intention of changing it. I brought it up just a couple of days ago. I'm like the bazillionth person.
