No pipe symbol on the T450 UK keyboard?

On the T450 UK keyboard, I can't find the frequently used pipe symbol | (hex 7c decimal 124). With AltGr to the left of the 1 key is ¦ (hex a6 decimal 166), which I've never used. This is in Windows Notepad or cmd.exe on Windows 10 Pro, version 2004 and Device Manager reports "Standard P/2 Keyboard with "This device is working properly."

Is there a fix or work-around this please?

Re:No pipe symbol on the T450 UK keyboard?

are you sure this is a genuine UK keyboard?  Looks like a relabeled US keyboard. Shouldn't the UK keyboard have the larger ISO style Enter key?  The pipe symbol would be left of the Z key.

Tech-Savvyness does not replace reading the fine manual.

I only know that is what's fitted to the laptop.
