Battery Report about an extended time

2021-07-22, 21:04 PM

Hi again everyone
I know how to easily get a battery report, such as described here https://www.windowscentral.com/generate-battery-report-windows-10

But it only seem to give "Power states", which is what I'm interested in, for the past 3 days (and even for other info such as Battery capacity history, it doesn't seem to go past 2-3 weeks)

Is there any way to make it give a result for a longer period of time (since the 1st usage ideally)?
If not, if I download a software made for this purpose, it will only start giving results from the day I install it, it won't be able to access battery info from the past, will it?
Thanks a lot in advance

David

Hello David Mundo,

Greetings

For battery report, you can use the ones from Windows, or a 3rd party software.
However for 3rd party apps, it will only show limited records (from the day you installed it or 3 days ago).
For more info about battery and troubleshooting, you may check these links:

Let's hear from fellow ThinkPad users who might have more knowledge about battery history app or the like.

Hey Lorenzo
Since you mentioned the oneS (reports) from Windows, are there other reports I could access to get to see older information about my battery?
Thanks in advance

Perhaps you can save the results from the log file as history that you can backtrack instead.
Kindly give it a try and see how far you can trace.

Thanks for trying to help

But sorry, even though I read your message twice at different times I still can't get what you mean
Any chance to express it in a less technical way (sorry, I'm a long-term computer/Lenovo user, but not an expert)
Thanks a lot in advance for your time and willingness to help me, appreciated
David

Hi David Mundo,

Greetings
When you do a powercfg report, it save a log files to a location so you can check on those folders for other log files previously created.
