Disabling Veriface

2008-02-07, 18:15 PM
Is there a way to disable Veriface? I don't want any unnecessary programs delaying my system startup. Besides, it seems like Veriface sometimes hangs up my system when returning from standby.

I need Veriface disabled as well.  It simply will not recognize me.  It's impossible for me to get past the Veriface login and into my laptop at all now.

I spent all night last night installing my software.  I can't stand the idea of doing a factory restore and wiping all that effort just to get ride of Veriface.

HELP!!!

ME.

One quick thought. Do you wear glasses? You will need to take your glasses off to log in using Veriface. You can also turn down the recognition dificulty level which will make it easier to recognize you. It is a pain in the butt if the lighting in the room is too low.

Re: Disabling Veriface

Hello, I am trying to disable or even uninstall veriface but it won't let me because it keeps asking for a password that I don't remember. I even tried safe mode but still asks for a password. I cannot even modify anything because it asks for a password. Is there any way around this or can I recover a forgotten password? HELP.  Thanks, TOM

Have you tried pressing Fn+Esc?, that would disable the camera.

I believe it can be installed by going to Start>>All programs.>>Lenovo Veriface Recognition>>Uninstall.

Hope that helps.

The PWD is your window log on PWD if you dont have it. You may go to "Control Panel --> User Account" and set up one for you.  I'm not sure this will solve your problem or not. But, at least, you may try...

Good luck!
