Integrated Camera Issues- Not Connected to Computer (code 45)

I have a Lenovo Yoga C740-14IML Laptop. For months I've been having issues with my integrated camera flickering on/off and only working half the time. I tried to fix the issue by uninstalling the Integrated Camera from the Device Manager, but now the Integrated Camera is grayed out and I can't re-enable it. I downloaded the suggested "Camera Driver (Sunplus, Realtek) for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga C740-14IML, Yoga C740-15IML", but it hasn't fixed the issue. Instead, it says the device is not connected to the computer (Code 45), but it's not a physical device since it's integrated to the computer. How do I reinstall the Integrated Camera? I don't know what PC Camera is, but it isn't recognized by Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Camera app, etc.

Re:Integrated Camera Issues- Not Connected to Computer (code 45)

Welcome to the Community Forums @SarahLenovo !

Glad to have you here!

Is the Camera driver that you have downloaded found on this link?

If yes, try updating your device's BIOS then test the Camera again.

You may download the latest version by clicking this link.

Make sure that it's connected to the AC adapter when updating it.

Also, you may load BIOS settings to defaults if that won't get the job done.

To do that, press F9 or highlighting the Exit tab using the arrow keys then select Load Default Settings and select Yes.

Select Exit Saving Changes afterwards to close the BIOS menu or Lenovo Setup Utility page and test the Camera afterwards.

Please check page 29 of your device's User Guide to see the steps on how you can access the BIOS menu setup of your Yoga C740.

Let us know what will happen.

Thanks,

Re:Integrated Camera Issues- Not Connected to Computer (code 45)

Thank you, @Adriel_lenovo ! Resetting to the BIOS defaults did the trick, so my Integrated Camera is thankfully back now. It still is having issues flickering and then becoming "undetected" with a variety of video apps. Do you have suggestions for that? I'll take a look at the user guide too.

Thanks for the update @SarahLenovo !

Good to know that the Camera is working now!

It would be advisable to get in touch with our Lenovo phone support at 877-453-6686 to check your device's warranty entitlement if the issue will still occur as it may seem a possible hardware failure particularly with the Camera itself and may require repairs for it to function properly again.

Hope this helps you out.
