Lenovo B8000-H Corrupted

I updated my lenovo yoga 10 B8000-H with the latest software update. When it rebooted the error "lenovo launcher has stopped" came up and when I clicked okay it immediately popped up again. I could not log in as the error kept showing over and over stopping me from doing anything. I decided to do a hard reset as I had nothing of importance on there. For some reason the reset screen was all in chinese but I managed to deduce that the symbols with the e.mmc was a hard reset.

On rebooting the system still tries to upgrade the android system by optimising apps. After this screen it goes to a set up and then the error "lenovo launcher had stopped" pops up again and again and again. I decided I would just click okay to see what would happen. After clicking okay on the pops up about 50 times the tablet automatically rebooted. The exact same problem happens again, it says its optimising apps, attempts a setup wizard and then the error messages appear.

Is there anything I can do with this obviously screwed up tablet that seemingly could not handle a simple update ? I've attempted to connect to my laptop to see if I could explore folders within the tablet but my comp doesn't recognise it. Please don't tell me to retry update as I obviously can't get past the setup screen due to the error.

Re:Lenovo B8000-H Corrupted

Hello @ BeckAlonso !

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Just to ask, did you perform the hard (factory) reset through the device's settings?

Please share here your Lenovo B8000-H's MTM (machine type-model) number for us to check its specifications while keeping the confidentiality of your serial number.

It can be seen through the device's label/sticker or its original packaging and does usually have a format of Z********R as an example.

Here's a link as well that also contains additional methods in obtaining your device's details.

For now, try to go to Settings > Apps > look for the Lenovo Launcher and select it then clear its cache or data.

Once done, restart the device and see if it will sort out the issue.

Thanks,

Re:Lenovo B8000-H Corrupted

I did a hard reset using the power button and up volume because I couldn't log into the device due to the pop up error.

Mtm is Z0AL59388037

I can't get into the device to look at settings due to the pop error messages, as previously stated...

Re:Lenovo B8000-H Corrupted

Thanks for providing your device's details @ BeckAlonso !

You may download the Rescue and Smart Assistant tool using a Windows PC/laptop instead to try re-flashing the Yoga Tablet 10's Android OS.

Please note that this step will result in data loss.

It can be downloaded by clicking on this link and make sure to also check its User Guide for additional details.

Thanks,
