Bluetooth not connecting to Samsung A05s Phone for newly purchased LOQ 15IAX9 - Type 83GS

Hi,

I purchased a Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 - Type 83GS (Windows 11) only a few weeks ago yet it is unable to connect via bluetooth with my Samsung Galaxy A05s phone. The laptop does recognise the phone and is strangely able to pair with it intermittently - but simply cannot 'hold' the connection for longer than a second before disconnecting. I have already tried multiple fixes including deleting and reinstalling all bluetooth drivers etc but the exact same issue persists.

Strangely the laptop works totally fine with no issues connecting to other bluetooth devices I have such as BOSE headphones and wireless mouse etc. Has anyone else experienced this issue as I have been unable to find any solution or seen much similar to this problem on the forums so far. The troubleshooter software also detects no issues to solve so im at a total loss and its increasingly frustrating as I want the mobile connection for wireless hotspot convenience.

My phone's bluetooth also works totally fine with all other devices, only with the laptop is there a connection issue. I have exhausted all common sense troubleshooting that I know of and would really appreciate an expert opinion to fix this annoying issue!

Look forward to hearing any solutions.

Re:Bluetooth not connecting to Samsung A05s Phone for newly purchased LOQ 15IAX9 - Type 83GS

Hi segarthv,

Thank you for reaching out to the Lenovo Community. I understand how frustrating it can be to experience Bluetooth connectivity issues, especially when you rely on it for convenience. Let's work through this together to find a solution.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Update Bluetooth Drivers: Ensure that your Bluetooth drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Lenovo Vantage App, which helps keep your system drivers current.

  2. Check Bluetooth Settings: On your Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and that your Samsung Galaxy A05s is listed as a paired device. Remove the device and try pairing it again.

  3. Reset Network Settings on Phone: Sometimes, resetting the network settings on your Samsung Galaxy A05s can help. Go to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi, mobile data, and Bluetooth settings.

  4. Bluetooth Troubleshooter: Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter on your laptop. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Bluetooth, and follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Check for Interference: Ensure there are no other devices causing interference. Sometimes, other wireless devices can disrupt the Bluetooth connection.

  6. Compatibility Check: Verify that both devices are compatible with each other. Although they should be, checking the Bluetooth versions and supported profiles might help identify any potential issues.

Best regards,

Re:Bluetooth not connecting to Samsung A05s Phone for newly purchased LOQ 15IAX9 - Type 83GS

Hi Hassen,

I've literally tried all these suggestions and nothing works. The connection is detected but immediately disconnects after a second. Any other suggestions that have not already been tried? Is it possible to get someone to remotely access and fix this issue or is it just a bluetooth software bug with this laptop yet to be fixed? My phone connects fine to my old laptop too.
