My Lenovo LOQ won't start after trying to update the BIOS

After attempting an automatic BIOS update offered by the Leonovo update program, my LOQ 15APH8 stopped working. When I press the power button, the backlight lights up and the screws start spinning. After 3 seconds the backlight goes out, the screws spin for about half a minute. Then the computer reboots itself with a loud sound, the cycle repeats without showing the Lenovo logo

Re:My Lenovo LOQ won't start after trying to update the BIOS

Hi Dareda!

Welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your LOQ 15APH8. It could be a post issue, but let's check this further.

First, try a power drain: Hold down the power button to force shutdown the device > remove the power adapter and other peripherals connected > press and hold the power button for 15 seconds > turn on the device.

If you have an external monitor, connect it to your laptop and see if the display works there in case the power drain didn't fix it. You can also check if BIOS is still accessible (guide here), but would need to force shutdown the device first.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions or need additional assistance.

Best regards,

Hector_Lenovo
